Abstract:

A three dimensional numerical model namely ROMS (Regional Ocean Modeling System) and observational data are used to study the thermohaline front of Persian Gulf Outflow in the Oman Sea. The simulation results show the formation of a thermohaline front at 80m depth in the direction of the north-east-southwest at the mouth of the Oman Sea. The seasonal thermohaline front variability was also identified, during winter a heat and salty tongue stretches from the Strait of Hormuz to the continental shelf along the south Oman coast. During summer, it shows a current departing from the coast moving forward to the middle of the Oman Sea. Thermohaline front is observed throughout the year, in summer as unified and patchy in winter. Intrusion of warm and salty water of Persian Gulf into the Gulf of Oman displays a local increase in salinity in the middle layers in 150-450m and 100-400m depths in winter and summer respectively which expresses two boundaries in the upper and lower layers. Diffusive convection and salt fingering can be seen in both the upper and lower boundaries respectively. The complex ocean flow patterns are result of monsoons in the Oman sea area. During the winter monsoon, a single cyclonic gyre is often observed near 58◦ E and during the Southwest monsoon in summer, a dipolar eddy near Ras al Hamra and an anticyclone’ s gyre in 25° N are detected.

Abstract:

The main objective of this article is to establish a new model and find some vortex axisymmetric solutions of finite core size for this model. We introduce the hydrodynamical equations governing the atmospheric circulation over the tropics, the Boussinesq equation with constant radial gravitational acceleration. Solutions are expanded into series of Hermite eigenfunctions. We find the coefficients of the series and show the convergence of them. These equations are critically important in mathematics. They are similar to the 3D Navier-Stokes and the Euler equations. The 2D Boussinesq  equations preserve some important aspects of the 3D Euler and Navier-Stokes equations such as the vortex stretching mechanism. The inviscid 2D Boussinesq equations are known as the Euler equations for the 3D axisymmetric swirling flows. This model is the most frequently used for buoyancy-driven fluids, such as many largescale geophysical flows, atmospheric fronts, ocean circulation, clued dynamics. In addition, they play an important role in the Rayleigh-Benard convection.

Abstract:

Thermoconvective instability in multi-component fluids has wide range of applications in heat and mass transfer. This paper deals with the theoretical investigation on a horizontal fluid layer of micropolar ferromagnetic fluid heated from below and salted from above saturating a porous medium subjected to a transverse uniform magnetic field using Brinkman model. The salt is a ferromagnetic salt which modifies the magnetic field established. The effect of salinity has been included in the magnetization and density of the ferromagnetic fluid. A theory of linear stability analysis and normal mode technique have been carried out to analyze the onset of convection for a fluid layer contained between two free boundaries for which exact solution is obtained and the stationary and oscillatory instabilities have been carried out for various physical quantities. The results are depicted graphically and the stabilizing and destabilizing behaviors are studied.

Abstract:

Asthma, which is mainly distinguished by airway inflammation and bronchial hyper-responsiveness, is known as one of the most common chronic diseases worldwide. It also is the most frequent chronic respiratory disorder amongst all age groups. On one side of the asthma story, there are massive investment of time, effort and money, a large number of pharmaceutical and academic research studies, health service modifications and revised guidelines. On the other side, there are unacceptably high, but mostly preventable, morbidity and mortality rates, socio-economic burdens and psychological problems due to asthma. A considerable proportion of doctor’s workload, hospital resources, health utilization costs, days off from school and work are caused by asthma. Our knowledge about this disorder and its complications is still on demand. There are significant questions regarding asthma and its path physiology which should be answered. National, regional and local initiatives are needed to be established to help health systems to overcome socio-economic burdens due to this disease. These could only be done if a clear picture of this respiratory disorder and its management achievements are available. This review article is an approach to present an image about asthma and its management based on the current understandings of the nature of this disorder.

Abstract:

Penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) has a long track record of high success rates compared to other tissue and organ transplantations. Despite the immunologic privilege of the cornea, the issue of immunological rejection cannot be overlooked and endothelial rejection is observed in up to 20% of eyes undergoing PKP.1 Repeat keratoplasties after rejection are increasingly more prone to rejection and the potential for a clear cornea becomes progressively lower with subsequent PKPs. Prospective long-term graft survival studies have also revealed disappointing results with PKP, and it is now recognized that graft survival rates and endothelial cell counts continue to decrease for many years after PKP.

Abstract:

IN THIS PAPER WE CONSIDER THE EUROPEAN CONTINUOUS INSTALLMENT CALL OPTION ON FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE AS UNDER-LYING ASSET. BY ARBITRAGE PRICING THEORY, ONE CAN MODEL THE INSTALL-MENT OPTION UNDER BLACK-SCHOLES MODEL. THEREFORE, NON HOMOGE-NEOUS PARABOLIC PARTIAL DI ERENTIAL EQUATION GOVERNING INSTALLMENT OPTION IS DERIVED. THE NON HOMOGENEOUS TERM IN THIS PARABOLIC PARTIAL DI ERENTIAL EQUATION IS THE INSTALLMENT RATE THAT MUST BE PAID BY OPTION HOLDER. THE PRICING PROBLEM FOR INSTALLMENT OPTION ON FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE IS PARABOLIC PARTIAL DI ERENTIAL EQUATION WITH INITIAL AN BOUNDARY CONDITIONS CALLED FREE BOUNDARY PROBLEM. THEN, TO DETERMINE THE VALUE OF THE EUROPEAN INSTALL-MENT OPTION AND THE LOCATION OF THE STOPPING BOUNDARY, THE FRONT XING METHOD WILL BE APPLIED. IN THIS METHOD, WE TRANSFORM THE FREE BOUNDARY PROBLEM TO A NONLINEAR PARABOLIC PARTIAL DI ERENTIAL EQUATION WITH XED KNOWN BOUNDARY. IN THE NEXT STEP, NITE DIF-FERENCE METHOD WILL BE APPLIED TO DISCRETIZE THE PROBLEM. HENCE ONE CAN GET FORMULA FOR NDING THE PRICE OF EUROPEAN CONTINUOUS INSTALLMENT CALL OPTION AND THE LOCATION OF THE STOPPING OR FREE BOUNDARY.

Abstract:

Philosophy for Children' program that Mathew Lipman and his colleagues have developed is now known in our society and has led to thinking and research in this regard. Thus, to consider the challenges that are in front of this program can lead to the richness of these researches. Three challenges are in front of this program:philosophical, psychological, and educational. The philosophical challenge is due to the point that philosophy is mainly dependent on the history of philosophy and thoughts of preceding philosophers. This dependence should of course be along with critique, but this dependence cannot be denied anyway. Hence, philosophizing cannot be reduced to the methods of thinking. Psychological challenge is rooted in the approaches of developmental psychology that emphasize on phases in human thinking. Accordingly, abstract methods of philosophizing cannot be used in the period of childhood. Educational challenge is related to basic cultural values that might be shaken in the process of philosophical interrogations. The philosophical challenge requires that teaching philosophy to children emphasize on an amalgamation of method and content. The psychological challenge makes us cautious as to looking for more investigations on the periodical characteristic of thinking. And finally, the educational challenge requires that criticizing cultural values, being necessary in active education, is not started from foundational issues of culture. The period of childhood can only be fitted to interrogation of low level cultural issues and values and leave the foundational cultural issues to philosophizing in higher ages.

Abstract:

Understanding geometry of fold in oil field has an important role in oil recovery and production. Therefore, the geometry of Parsi Anticline in the north Dezful Embayment has been selected as a subject for present study, which is carried out by using interoperated 3D seismic data and lateral cross-section on top of the Asmari Limestone structural contour map. Based on Isogone and Ramsay classification, the competent carbonate layers of Asmari, Ilam and Sarvak formations are classified as 1B class and incompetent layer of Pabdeh and Gurpi Formations as 1A or 1C classes. Such a folding model is found only in south and north culminations of anticline. In the middle part of Parsi Oil Field, the fold geometrical configuration is box type, which is related to the axial fold rotation that shows different geometry. Parsi Oil Field is a fault related structure which is based on Ramsay and McClay and Poblet classification, it is considered as progressive fault related type 3 (variable limb dip and length). In general, the thrust faults generating these types of folds are sourced from incompetent layers which in Parsi Oil F ield could be in relation to the Dashtak Formation Evaporates.
